A Hat Trick of Success: Winning the AIPP NSW Commercial Photographer of the Year for the Third Time

I am thrilled and humbled to announce that, for the third year in a row, I have been awarded the prestigious title of AIPP NSW Commercial Photographer of the Year. This incredible honour is a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication that goes into my craft, and I am grateful to the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) for this recognition.

The AIPP Professional Photography Awards

The AIPP runs professional photography awards in all Australian states and territories, attracting over three thousand entries from talented photographers across the country. Each photographer can enter up to four prints in a category, which are then presented anonymously to a panel of five judges who assign scores. An aggregate score of 80+ earns a Silver award, while a score of 90+ garners a Gold award. With less than 3 per cent of entries earning Gold, this achievement is truly remarkable.

My Winning Photographs

This year, I am proud to share that two of my architectural photography prints received Gold awards, while the other two earned Silver awards. The winning photographs include:

  1. A striking facade detail at the Juiguang Shopping Mall in Shanghai.
  2. A captivating image of a tower at the beginning of the Huangpu Riverside Trail, taken as part of an architectural case study of the East Bund redevelopment in Shanghai.
  3. An intricate ceiling detail at 580 George Street, Sydney.
  4. A stunning shot of the National Aquarium Denmark in Copenhagen.

The Significance of This Achievement

Winning the AIPP NSW Commercial Photographer of the Year for the third consecutive year is an accomplishment that I am incredibly proud of. It serves as a reminder of the importance of continually pushing myself to excel in my field and as a testament to the power of perseverance and dedication.

As I celebrate this achievement, I also want to express my gratitude to the AIPP, my fellow photographers, and my amazing clients who have entrusted me with capturing their visions and stories. Their support and encouragement have been invaluable in helping me reach this milestone.

Looking Ahead

As I move forward in my career, I am more motivated than ever to continue refining my skills and exploring new creative avenues within commercial photography. I am excited for the future and eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. With the support of the AIPP community and my incredible clients, I am confident that I will continue to push the boundaries of my craft and achieve even greater success.
